Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great explosive sub but needs a bit of setup help. After owing this for over a month Bass just seemed very weak. No matter what I would do with the adapt iq system it just sounded very low. Almost non existent. After reading and a bit of forum on that subject I found this solution and now bass is loud heavy and wall shaking. My set up contains the surround speakers, soundbar 700 and bass module 700. Instructions for better bass 1. Remove all accessories from soundbar 2. Add only surround speakers (if you have them) 3. Run adapt iq 4. Add the bass module That’s it! You should notice much more bass in fact I was at 100 for the sub level and now I’m at 40. It’s substancially different and doesn’t effect the sound quality at all. Make sure to remove the bass module every time you run adapt iq. Some rooms just cancel the bass response. This is an amazing sub just held back by software design. Not hardware.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Boom and Beauty! The Bose Bass Module 700 is a great option for those wanting to add more “boom” to their Soundbar 700 or Soundbar 500 system. The unit itself is relatively small, but the output is very noticeable. For those who love action films or want a deeper bottom end for their music listening pleasure, this is highly recommended. Packaging: Sturdy, but a little overkill. The power cord is almost hidden in a much-wasted side compartment area. I found it, so all was good. No damage, for sure! Set-up: Soooo easy. It connects wirelessly to your Bose Soundbar and is ready to go within minutes. It’s suggested to perform the calibration with the headset after adding the Bass Module. I found that to be accurate, since the sound from the system seemed to be more fine-tuned after calibration. Sound and appearance: Deep, rich sound. It’s a 10” woofer, so plenty of deep end. For the price, don’t expect the lowest octave… I’ve owned those subwoofers in the past and they are in their own category. They also come with a very hefty price tag. The Bose Bass Module 700 is a perfect addition to their compatible soundbars at a price that’s within reason. Conclusion: Well worth a listen and a try. Go find your nearest retailer and give it an audition. You won’t be disappointed!

Can the Bose Bass Module 700 be wired?

Yes. If for some reason a wired connection is preferred, the Bose Bass Module 700 and the Bose Soundbar 700 can be hardwired together using a standard 3.5-mm audio cable. Contact your local Bose customer service centre or purchase this standard cable at any electronics store.

What placement guidelines should be considered to ensure optimal audio performance of the Bose Bass Module 700?

For best sound quality, the Bose Bass Module 700 should be placed on the floor against the same wall as the television and soundbar, with an electrical socket nearby for the power cable. The bass module should not be placed on a shelf or table. For more bass, the bass module should be placed closer to walls and corners. For less bass, the bass module should be pulled away from walls and corners.

Can the Bose Bass Module 700 be added to other one-piece Bose speakers, such as the Bose Home Speaker 500 or SoundTouch 10 wireless speaker?

No. The Bose Bass Module 700 can only be added to the Bose Soundbar 500, Bose Soundbar 700 and the SoundTouch 300 soundbar.
