Heart rate monitor setup - Strava (iOS)

To setup the heart rate sensor in Strava on iOS, follow these steps:

Make sure the SoundSport® Pulse headphones are powered on and connected to your iPhone. To verify, there should be a small vertical battery icon next to the Bluetooth® icon in the status bar at the top of the screen

You can also navigate to the Bluetooth® page in your phone’s settings menu to confirm that Bose® Soundsport® Pulse is under MY DEVICES with the word “connected” next to it.

Insert the SoundSport® Pulse headphones in your ears. The heart rate sensor is located in the left earbud, so make sure the left earbud is securely in place

Open the Strava app

Log in to the app or create an account

Tap "Record" on the bottom centre of the screen

Tap the “External sensors” icon in the lower right-hand corner of the screen

Tap the toggle next to “Bluetooth® Sensors” to turn it from “off” to “on.” Notice that underneath “Heart Rate” it now says “Searching…” The app and the SoundSport® Pulse's heart rate sensor should automatically connect. Below “Heart Rate”, “Connected XX bpm” should appear. It might take a few seconds for the actual heart rate to load. This is normal

Tap "Done" to return to the workout screen. You’ll notice that the “External Sensors” icon has now changed to a heart rate icon
