Cannot use product with Siri

If you are unable to use your product with the Siri voice assistant from Apple, try the following:

Reboot the connected device.

Electronics might need to be reset from time-to-time—much like rebooting a computer. Power off the device, then power it back on and try again.

If trying to control music playback, use Apple Music.

Siri can only control Apple Music. Other services may not work reliably via Siri voice commands. You can access Apple Music from the Apple Music app on your smartphone, or by a voice command to Siri.

Add the Bose product to HomeKit.

Siri cannot control your Bose product until the product is added as an Accessory to Apple HomeKit. (Note: You must complete setup of your product using the Bose Music app before the Apple HomeKit app can find your Bose product.)

Check that there is an active AirPlay stream.

Siri cannot control your Bose product if an AirPlay stream is not active. Using your Apple device, begin playing music on your Bose product via AirPlay, then ask Siri for help.

Siri can control basic playback controls and volume for your product.

Not all Siri functionality is available through your Bose product. Siri can control playback (i.e. play/pause, stop, track forward/back) and volume up/down requests made for your Bose product.
