Enabling or disabling Auto-off mode

The automatic power off setting lets your product automatically turn off and enter standby if it is not in use for a period of time. This is useful, for example, to conserve power in case your product is accidentally left powered on.

Using the Auto-Off Timer

The auto-off timer conserves the battery when the speaker is operating on battery power. The speaker switches off when audio has stopped and buttons have not been pressed for 20 minutes.

NOTE: To adjust the time it takes for your speaker to automatically power off, use the Bose Connect app.

Disable the auto-off timer

Press and hold the Volume + and Multi-function icon buttons simultaneously until you hear “Auto-off disabled.” Repeat to re-enable the auto-off timer.
You can also disable the auto-off timer using the Bose Connect app.

Use the Bose Connect app to select an amount of time before your product automatically turns off:

By default, your product turns off after 18 minutes of inactivity. You can change this using the Bose Connect app:
  1. Open the app and wait while it searches for available Bose Bluetooth® products

  2. Tap the Settings gear icon to open the product settings menu. (Tip: If you have more than one Bose Bluetooth product, swipe left or right to find it, then tap Settings)
