Remote won't control music app

If you are unable to use your Bose remote to control playback commands (i.e. play/pause and skip track) in a mobile phone or computer audio application, view the following:

To control the iPod with your remote, use the iPod music player.

Playback commands from your remote to your iPod will control the iPod music player; they will not control a 3rd party party app / music player.
